November 1st, 2018

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Friends,

Happy November!  I hope all our families are enjoying the fall weather and are looking forward to our upcoming Holiday Break!  I want to personally, thank all the parents that came to parent/teacher conferences.  It was wonderful seeing, everyone actively participating in your child’s education. It is important that your child sees you proactive and involved in their education.  This month we have included suggested Reading tips for at home to support your child on the backside of this newsletter.  Our teachers truly appreciate your support and look forward to working closely with you this year, thanks again!

We are beginning the second 9 weeks of school and our staff is working diligently with our students to support academic success.  The EXPLORE afterschool program is in full swing this year.  This Title I program will be hosting their annual Lights On event to celebrate the benefits of afterschool programs on November 14th at 4:40 pm.

We would like to thank parents and community members for coming out to support our first annual Yard Sale in October.  The event was a tremendous success and we appreciate the support and positive feedback we received.  Deborah Moore-Lovett is our current PTO president and our current PTO is exceeding expectations this year under her direction.  Please visit our school website to learn more about upcoming PTO events and news.

Thank you for your continued support,

Will Towson
Principal, Ben Franklin School
